History

Rzeszow University signed a contract for the financing of the Microelectronics and Nanotechnology Center on 17 July 2009 The project "Scientific and Educational Complex of the Center for Microelectronics and Nanotechnology, University of Rzeszów" provides for the creation of a new infrastructure of the University of Rzeszów, which will complement the existing infrastructure in the Podkarpackie Region. The resulting infrastructure will serve as a scientific and didactic base for new specialties:

- Nanoelectronics in the field of Technical Physics;
- Nanotechnology and New Materials for Aeronautics on Mechatronics and Nanotechnology Macroeconomics to be launched in the academic year 2009/2010;
- Medical Bioengineering, Bioinformatics, Analytical Biotechnology and Biomaterials at the Interdisciplinary Biotechnology.

The project has created clean rooms with a total area of 200 square meters, where MBE installations will be deployed - basic nanostructure manufacturing technology, high class scanning electron microscope for topology control of manufactured nanostructures, SIMS installation for structural structure control, photolithography and lithography Electronic manufacturing of integrated circuits and elements of quantum circuits, modern research equipment for magneto-transport control at low temperatures in manufactured quantum circuits, optical properties of nanostructures, which is essential for the completion of master's and doctoral theses at an appropriate level, and posts in student studios where Students will be prepared to conduct nanostructures. For this purpose, appropriate low temperature infrastructure is created.
Completion of the project in 2012 will allow students to start learning about the latest technologies and research methods.
